You can hear the conversations, laughter, and excitement to learn each President’s Day and Columbus Day. Twice a year, Open Arms teachers, assistant teachers, and administrators gather to re-focus, collaborate, and learn more about current trends and issues in the field of early childhood education. Professional development topics vary. This President’s Day, teachers will be learning more about resiliency in children and how they can support their learners. Other topics will include Stewards of Children, Positive Behavior Intervention Supports, Collaboration with Families, as well as Playground Safety, Supervision, and Engagement. Our teachers will be up and moving, as well as participating in conversations designed to engage the senses and create lasting learning.
