Inclement Weather at Open Arms

Opens Arms will use Tadpoles to alert parents to school closures and delays due to inclement weather.  Tadpoles allows us to email and text parents so we can get the word out quickly.

Inclement Weather Closings and Delays
Our Full-Day Program follows the federal government’s weather-related delayed opening or closing recommendations. In addition, Open Arms reserves the right to close or alter scheduled hours in cases of severe local weather conditions or emergency situations.

Our Half-Day Program and Full Day Kindergarten follows the inclement weather policy of the Loudoun County Public Schools.  If Loudoun County Schools ARE CLOSED, Half-Day preschool and Full Day Kindergarten ARE CLOSED.  If there is a 1 or 2-hour delay for Loudoun County Schools, the Half-Day preschool will run on a modified schedule for that day. (See below)

*When Open Arms is open, enrolled school age children grades kg-5th grade and are welcome for a daily fee (if it’s not their scheduled day).
