This program gives parents the opportunity to provide supervised care for their child kindergarten through 5th grade. This fall, due to the current pandemic, students in Loudoun County Public Schools are participating in 100% virtual distance learning. Therefore, we have adapted our program to meet the needs of our students. Our distance learning support program will offer students academic support as the students navigate the digital curriculum resources and instructional tasks assigned by their LCPS teacher. Our teachers will ensure student engagement, understanding, and completion of daily assignments. Our students will also engage in center activities such as arts and crafts, theme activities, engineering and construction activities, science investigations, and games. Students will also have opportunities to be physically active during scheduled outdoor play and P.E.
Open Arms is committed to providing a safe environment for our students, families, and staff. Each student will have their own individual workspace that will include internet access. They will need to bring their own Chromebook and headphones.
- Students will receive 2 snacks and a hot lunch daily.
- Students will participate in daily P.E. and weekly Chapel.
